Getting into the groove of things 

Founded in 2022, Renewing the grove is a non-profit project aimed to clean and restore the mangroves located in the South Florida region. Our focus is restoring patches of mangroves that are sometimes overlooked. These patches are located in public coastal parks around South Florida that still carry a big impact on the community.

Mangroves are extremely important ecosystems that we need to protect and conserve.   

Mangroves reduce erosion and help fight against rising sea level by permitting the buildup of sediment in the water. In doing so Mangroves help stabilize our coastlines and help protect coastlines from storm surges and these rising sea levels.  These vital ecosystems also protect marine life and are home to many diverse species of sea animals and birds.  With the negative effects of climate change that affect us all, it is more important now than ever to help these ecosystems flourish. 

Meet our Mangrove lovers  who dedicate time to help out their community. With the help of Hands on Miami and the Ritz-Carlton Residence, we offer a number of volunteers ready to help the community. 

Our mission is to clean waste from mangroves and help restore these ecosystems. Our goal is to spread awareness of the importance of mangroves and engage with the community.  

We want to educate the community on these ecosystems and why they are vital for the survival of our planet and our communities. To make change, we have to start at the root and that is starting with the community.
